Sinuslabs, the virtual instrument developer studio located in Berlin, has released 'REACH' — A modern creative reverb plug-in for AU/VST3 designed for electronic music. It can produce sounds ranging from lush reverbs to unrealistic sonic atmospheres. REACH makes it easy to experiment and dial in new distorted sounds. Paired with a state of the art reverb makes this tool a serious powerhouse. REACH is a product suitable for electronic music producers looking to achieve high-quality professional sound with ease. 

 

REACH is a professional-grade creative reverb that has been engineered to enhance synthetic instruments and sample sounds. This plug-in allows users to craft abstract virtual rooms by controlling parameters such as space, time, diffusion, and damping. Packed with four distinct effects - Degrade, Flanger, Chorus and Distortion -, which seamlessly blend with the reverb. The user interface is modern and intuitive, with features like theming and scalability that allow for easy customization.

The purpose of REACH was to create a lush reverb with an additional modular effects chain. It contains four effects, two filters, and over 40 presets. This plug-in features switchable skins between a dark theme and a light theme run on Mac, Windows, and Linux. REACH is designed to use little CPU and is open source as well.

 

You can tweak Time, Space, Diffusion and Damping with each of knobs in the Reverb module.  With the Mix knob, you can control the wet and dry amount of the reverb. You can make it more interesting by adding some modulation. By turning up Depth and Rate in the Modulation module, you can add some movement to the sound and chorusing inside the delay lines. REACH uses frequency splitter to add reverberation to each channel individually. You can tweak the reverb amount of each channel.

REACH features a modular effects chain which means that the order of the effects can be moved around freely. Each effect can be customized in detail. This allows for some pretty unique soundscapes. The modular effects chain consists of the following four effects — 'Degrade', 'Flanger', 'Chorus', and 'Distortion'.

 

Degrade adds a metallic character and crushes the signal. This effect creates sonic atmosphere, curious percussions or a new era of Lo-fi sounds.

Flanger can be used both to slightly adjust your sound or to completely transform it. This effect can create weird and trippy sounds. You can click the bars at the bottom of the display to customize each effect.

Chorus adds width and movement to the sound. This effect creates echo-like effects by playing with the delay and feedback, yielding mind bending results.

Distortion adds grit and texture to the sound. You can also use it to completely destroy the sound. This effect creates earthshaking drums, impactful hits and electrified atmospheres.

REACH comes with over 40 carefully crafted presets, ranging from lush reverbs to sonic soundscapes. Users can create unlimited new presets with Smart Randomization. So, you can customize existing presets or craft your own presets for your purpose.
