The Israeli audio software development company Ginger Audio has announced the release of 'GroundControl CASTER' (version 2) — The software live audio mixer that supports routing, processing, recording, and streaming your audio all in one place. It combines multiple audio sources of any kind such as applications, microphones, audio interfaces and more and mixes and streams to your favorite streaming app such as Twitch, OBS, StreamLabs, Zoom, Restream, etc. This is the powerful audio mixing board for content creators. GroundControl CASTER is a free software with an upgrade option to the paid version, 'GroundControl CASTER Live'. GroundControl CASTER is for Mac only.

GroundControl CASTER turns your voice into a broadcast-quality sound immediately for any microphone, in any environment. With CASTER your voice become crisp and proximity sound. GroundControl CASTER Live (paid version) provides two internal microphone processing plug-ins for radio-ready voice effects: ‘Voice Radio’ and ‘Voice Purity’. Voice Radio instantly enhances your voice and makes it radio-ready sound. It works perfectly on all types of microphones, as well as on any incoming audio. With CASTER you can capture any microphone, an individual application audio, physical audio inputs or entire system sound to record as high quality audio immediately on your local Mac hard drive. So, you can get high quality sound recordings from your web and app audio, Zoom sessions, Skype conversation, Gameplay, etc. You can combine audio sources of any kind such as applications, microphones, or audio interface and mix them using CASTER virtual mixer. In the mixer you set each level and insert your plug-ins of choice such as EQ, Spatial sound effects, etc. and finally stream to your favorite streaming app such as Twitch, OBS, StreamLabs, Zoom, FaceTime etc.

With CASTER Soundboard you can play intros, sound effects, alerts, music, or your own samples on your live stream, online games or chat apps, etc. It allows you to instantly play different sounds to everyone with multiple playback options. CASTER separates the audio of each application running on your Mac such as YouTube, game, Discord, music, etc. and allows you to send each separated audio source independently to OBS or to your DAW. You can capture your desktop audio and stream it to any streaming software and at the same time monitor the audio in your headphones without any additional configuration.

 

CASTER supports all types of microphones, headsets, headphones, and audio interfaces and you can connect up to 6 audio devices and microphones. You can add your favorite external plug-ins into CASTER tracks such as EQ, compressor, gate, reverb, chorus, etc. MIDI controller, stream deck, knobs, faders, buttons, computer keyboard, etc. can be mapped to control CASTER.
