'Roma Modulare 2024': The International Synthesizer and Music Production Expo will take place in Rome, Italy on September 27-28
The organizers of Roma Modulare 2024, Italy's premier event dedicated to modular and desktop synthesizers as well as professional audio production, are proud to announce that it will be held as a two-day international expo at Forte Trionfale in central Rome on September 27-28.
As an international expo hosted in Italy's capital city, Roma Modulare 2024 stands as the country's most significant event for musicians and audio professionals, especially those passionate about modular synthesizers, as the name suggests. Among its 80+ exhibitors (https://www.romamodulare.it/exhibitors-and-brands/), notable headliners include Doepfer, the German pioneer of the Eurorack modular system that has become an industry standard; Erica Synths from Latvia, showcasing its PĒRKONS HD-01 drum synth and Black series Eurorack modules; Scotland's Instruō, known for its striking arbhar Granular Audio Processor and Lúbadh Dual Looper; TipTop Audio from the US, which is reviving Don Buchla's 200 series as the Eurorack 200t project; Verbos Electronics, now offering its iconic Harmonic Oscillator in Eurorack format; and WMD, an American brand returning with a new drum module. These, along with many other exhibitors, promise an exicing showcase of innovative electronic instruments and modular solutions.
The two-day international expo will take place in Rome's Trionfale district at Forte Trionfale, one of 15 forts built around the Eternal City between 1882 and 1886, covering an area of 21 hectares. The fort is historically notable as the departure point for Italian aviator and Arctic explorer Umberto Nobile's airship to the North Pole in 1926. Today, it is part of an urban regeneration initiative focused on fostering creativity and connecting people — an ideal that aligns with the mission of Roma Modulare 2024.
"Our greatest desire is that Roma Modulare provides the best opportunity possible for musicians, producers, technicians, manufacturers, and even amateurs to come into contact with each other to strengthen the Italian music market and make it international" says Alberto Rossetto, Founder & CEO of Rome's Milk Audio Store, which specializes in Eurorack modules and studio equipment. Milk Audio has partnered with K-ARRAY Audio Solutions, one of Italy's leading innovators in professional speaker technology, and Doc Servizi, a cooperative supporting musicians in navigating the entertainment industry, to organize Roma Modulare 2024.
While a 900m² space whithin Forte Trionfale will be dedicated to hosting Roma Modulare 2024's 80+ exhibitor booths, part of the venue will also serve as a Workshop Area. Over two days, 20 speakers will present new products and discuss topics related to the entertainment industry(full program available here: https://www.romamodulare.it/program/). In addition, Roma Modulare 2024 is, by nature, a gathering place for electronic music artists. A Live Area will be set up in the garden outsie the venue, featuring non-stop live performances by modular synthesizer artists from 1:00 pm to 11:30 pm each day. With food and beverages available on-site from 10:00 am to midnight, Roma Modulare 2024 promises to be an exciting event for all attendees, whether local or international.
