- This is the chip that executes all the computer’s calculations

- Random Access Memory: Short-term (temporary) storage

 

4. Hard Drive:

- 'Long-term' storage

 

5. System BUS:

- Pathways to all the internal parts of CPU (the pathway that connects all the internal parts of the CPU)

 

6. Operating System (OS):

- Software that manages computer’s functionality

- It provides a platform for application to run on

e.g. Mac OSX, Windows 10

 

7. Peripherals:

- Any device that gives added functionality to your PC (CPU)
