Noise Shaping

 

- Moving dither noise (=white noise) to frequency that are less sensitive (to the human ear)

- White noise is filtered away from frequency sensitive area 

- Purpose: To increase the apparent signal-to-noise ratio of the resultant signal

*Result: Can have 120 dB Dynamic Range (perceptual)
