Mixing Console (2)

 

 

1. Console Mic Pre-amp

Used to bring Mic level up to line level. Has 60 dB gain with Trim pot gain control. (*Refer to the Top picture)

2. Console Patch Points

Outputs over inputs. Used to connect various components into the console without board processors (*By the way, Switching system is very expensive)

3. Console Dynamic controller

(1) Compressor/Limiter

(2) Expander/Gate

 

Both (1) and (2) have:

- Threshold

- Ratio

- Attack

- Release

- Only 4 to 6 LED meter

(*By the way, when we need gate, then gate first, EQ second)

4. Console EQ

4-Band EQ: Totally parametric with Hi & Lo EQ. Switchable to shelving with variable HPF & LPF (Hi Pass Filter & Lo Pass Filter).

5. Auxiliary Sends (Aux)

Independent mixing system. Used to send signals to musician's headphone while recording or over dubbing and to send signals to a major reverb device while mixing. Have a pre/post switch - determines if input to the Aux is before (Pre) or after (Post) the channel fader.

7. Phase Reverse Switch

180° polarity reversed
