Correlation between Frequency and Rhythm

The lower the frequency, the slower the rhythm should be. The higher the frequency, the faster the rhythm can be. In a drum kit, the kick drum contains mostly low frequencies. It plays slower rhythms. The snare drum is more midrange. It plays faster than the kick drum. The high-hat has mostly high frequencies and it usually moves twice or four times as fast as the kick drum. This concept holds true for keyboard and bass tracks also. Bass tracks move more like kick drums. Piano and Rhodes keyboard tracks move more like snare drums and high frequency synthesizers can move as fast as hi-hats if desired. You can use these concepts in your song sequence.
