The chorus effect is produced by varying the amount of delay between two identical signals, thus producing a complex varying "comb filter" effect. A chorus program creates multiple delays that are individually modulated and phase shifted to simulate the complexities of a chorus of voices using an input of one voice. The left and the right channels are modulated relative to each other, which will cause a shimmering effect.
1) Adjust the delay time depth and listen for the effect.
This parameter determines the amount of delay time shift between left and right channel.
2) Describe the effect of varying the delay time depth.
'High' delay time depth: Ambience (more dimensional sound)
'Low' delay time depth: Less ambience (more drier sound)
3) Adjust the amplitude modulation depth and listen for the effect.
This parameter sets the amount of amplitude variation between left and right channels.
When you do this, notice that it makes the signal seem to "pan" between the left and the right output.
4) Adjust the modulation frequency parameter and listen for its effect.
This parameter sets the speed of the panning effect mentioned in the previous step.
Increasing this amount, which will cause the "panning" to go faster.
