Audio Brewers ‘Pianoforte’: The Utmost Realistic Grand Piano Sound That Comes in Ambisonics and Stereo
Audio Brewers, the first company to create Sample Libraries and Virtual Instruments recorded, mixed, and delivered in Ambisonics, has just released its third ambisonic Kontakt library 'Pianoforte'.
‘Pianoforte’ is a beautiful sounding 'Fazioli F212', Audio Brewers choses this Piano as their first grand because of its amazing sensitivity and incredible sonic clarity. They went out of the ordinary to make this a unique product intended to cover all your needs, thanks to using not only conventional microphones, but also several Ambisonics microphones in multiple positions that helped them create multiple utmost realistic three-dimensional perspectives and capture the pure sweetness and rich harmonic body that only Fazioli can deliver.
Ambisonics Version Audio Brewers’ novel recording and mixing techniques deliver a sound library natively compatible with multi-speaker arrays. This means that no matter your speaker setup is, you can dynamically adapt the sound to it and the results will always be translated into the utmost sound quality. Whether it is Binaural (headphones), Stereo, Surround, Atmos, Ambisonics for VR (Virtual Reality) applications, custom arrays, and even exporting to multiple channel-configurations at once, your mix will always be natural and real.
‘RAW’ Mix: All Mix Perspectives together with no processing.
'Musician' Perspective: Feel right on the Pianist Bench, just as if you were playing the piano.
'Soundboard' Perspective: BE the Piano, feel the sound traveling all around you for every key you press. Breathe the sound.
'Audience' Perspective: This perspective was created to have you listened to the music just as if you were sitting in front of the Piano.
'Balanced' Perspective: This perspective offers great focus and at the same time great surround feeling for your performances.
Audio Brewers’ approach to sound also has a benefit to those who prefer to stick to Stereo. Thanks to their recording and mixing techniques, where they respect the microphone positions not only in a left-to-right fashion, but on a three-dimensional space, the resulting mix is a faithful representation of how sound behaves as it travels to your ears. Instead of having mic positions that layer on top of others, Audio Brewers offers multiple mixes that combine seamlessly with each other in total sonic harmony.
Mixes and Mic Positions from the Stereo Version
'RAW' Mix: All Mic Positions placed together with no retouching done.
'Balanced' Mix: Audio Brewers prepared a load-and-play alternative for musicians who don't want to spend any time in mixing the Piano but want something ready.
'Punchy' Mix: A mix with punchier attacks and narrower image, works perfect for Jazz.
'Intimate' Mix: A darker and duller mix that works perfect for having underscores or having a soft piano filling your music with static chords.
'Ears' Mic Position: A Stereo pair of microphones placed by each of the musician's ears.
'Soundboard' Mic Position: A Stereo pair of microphones to capture the sound that comes from the Soundboard.
'Frame' Mic Position: A Stereo pair of microphones to capture the sound that comes from the frame.
